Poked and Prodded

I went to get my blood work and x-rays done today. I waited a long time for both. But at the radiology center, I met a lady who was a regular and she made me feel at ease about getting x-rays. Her name was Joan and she was probably in her 60s. She told me that she had had breast cancer and stomach cancer. Both were gone now, but she still comes to get x-rays every three months because they won't make sure everything is still clear.

I'll get the results of my x-rays on Thursday when I go in for my follow up. In the meantime, I have some pain medication to help me sleep. I just took some and already, I'm ready to go to sleep.
